Are there any waiting periods for Comprehensive Pet Insurance?
The waiting period is the amount of time that must elapse between when you take out the insurance and when you can use certain types of coverage.
Under the Comprehensive Pet Insurance plan, some coverages require the policy to be in effect for a minimum period.
Pet assistance: Coverage begins one month after the policy is taken out.
In the event of death due to an accident or being run over by a vehicle: this coverage will be available three months after the policy’s start date.
In the event of euthanasia due to an accident or being run over by a vehicle: coverage becomes effective three months after taking out the policy.
In the event of euthanasia due to illness: this coverage takes effect six months after the policy’s start date.
