What does the Travelling Pets service cover?
In the event of an accident in which the insured is unable to take care of the pet with which he/she is travelling as a result of the accident, Línea Directa covers the following services:
- Transfer to the nearest appropriate centre in response to the seriousness of the pet's condition and urgent veterinary treatment to achieve the stabilisation of the pet.
- Looking after the pet in a veterinary centre or home until the insured or the person appointed by them is able to take care of it.
- Veterinary treatment in case of accident.
With Línea Directa, the travelling pet coverage covers veterinary treatment for your pet or pets (with a maximum of two pets per claim) in case of an accident while travelling with you.
Your pets' veterinary treatment will be covered up to €1,000 and they will be taken to an appropriate centre closest to the incident for treatment of your dog or cat as soon as possible.
Veterinary centre or residence in case of an accident
The travelling pet service includes transfer to the appropriate facility closest to the accident to stabilize your pet on an emergency basis.
In addition, it covers the care of your pet in a veterinary centre or residence until the person named or the insured can take care of it. It is important to know that this care service has a maximum of four nights.
What pets are covered by the Travelling Pets service?
Pets belonging to dog and cat species, which are registered in the Official Census of the Autonomous Community of the usual place of residence of the policyholder.

What limits does this coverage include?
- You can only cover a maximum of two pets per claim.
