What is the key replacement and duplicate coverage?
The Key Replacement and Duplicate coverage is intended to cover both the replacement and the duplication of keys for the motorcycle insured under the policy. In this way, Línea Directa covers the policyholder for replacement of the keys in the event of any type of breakage, loss or blocking. In addition, it also covers key duplication in the event of a breakdown caused by the free movement of the motorcycle. This movement can be in garages, car parks on public and private roads or land, urban or interurban roads and on roads or land designed for common use.
What benefits does this coverage provide?
When taking out your Motorcycle Insurance with Línea Directa you can benefit from all the advantages it offers. One of these advantages is the option to take out Key Replacement and Duplicate coverage, which covers the following:
- Replacement of the insured's keys in the event of breakage or loss.
- If the blocking or decoding of keys belonging to the policyholder occurs.
- It covers duplicate keys if necessary and it will also be ensured that the copy reaches the person who insured the vehicle.
Another advantage of this type of coverage is that it is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, depending on the provider and its availability.
However, in the cases that are covered by the coverage, we emphasise that there is a maximum compensation limit on the part of the Insurer, which is €200 per annuity.
In which cases does the key replacement and duplicate key coverage not apply?
The key replacement and duplicate coverage has some exclusions from the service. Cases that do not fall under the coverage are:
- If the keys are stolen with force.
- In the event of theft of the keys in question.
- If a lock change has been made, is being made, or is intended to be made.
With the Key Replacement and Duplicate coverage, your motorcycle keys will be covered in case you need a replacement due to loss or breakage and if decoding or blocking occurs.
